Today I have finished editing the video, and the vfx, which I had to get help from YouTube tutorials, Sam Barnes and my friend Sayed Sadat (who edits a lot on after effects). Now im just completing my Wix. Overall I have found this assignment to be good but kind of a let down from my crew and actors, as many actors were cancelling last minutes, and I had to find replacements for my crew, for example my cinematographer, who didnt come both shooting days. Tomorrow is our deadline day, so I need to try to finish as much of the editing today. I have now finished my editing, and adding transitions and audio. I am now doing vfx.

In this lesson I made a start to the editing of our short film. We didnt have that much lesson time, so I did less than half of the editing. I also found some eerie background music to add to the film.

We moved our shooting day to this day (Tuesday), we attended Rhys's lesson first in the morning, and then made our way to Kingston to film at Shiya's house. I did my best as director to get everything filmed in the time we had. After we finished i brought back the equipment to college.

This was our first shooting day, however we spent most of the day helping bobby's group film, instead of actually doing our own, because we were using the same space to film, and also they had to use our equipment because they came unprepared.

Shot list and animatic video has been completed. All of pre production is now complete. Yesterday (15/01/26), I was experimenting with editing techniques like shattering of a mirror, which we need to do for our short film. Yesterday, our actor also cancelled last minute, but luckily I found 2 actors that are ready and eager to act for the short film. Right now today, I'm putting everything on the Wix, and sorting out the timings for tomorrows first filming shoot.

The storyboard has been completed, and the shot list is nearly complete. We now just need to take the recorded audio from the table read, and the storyboard to make a animated video using premiere pro. One thing that is a issue is that our cinematographer (Ivaylo) doesn't want to come in on our shooting day (Saturday). So we might just have to use another cinematographer.

We finished the table read recording today. While we were finishing the recording, we had two crew members doing the shot list and finishing the storyboard instead.

Today is our first lesson back, we have done 25% of the storyboard, and we have also found a location to shoot our short movie at. We will now move on getting our actor ready and prepped for the shooting days. We now need to organise when and where the recorded table read will be, which will be organised by the production designer.

Today is our last lesson, until were back from Christmas holidays. We are going to be working on our wix, and making sure everything is prepared, for example, finishing our storyboard. Then during our holidays, we will converse with eachother about how the script will be produced, and more ideas on perfecting everything.

Today we started the day doing camera work, this could give us ideas and help us with our script. Now in the afternoon lesson, we are just doing our wix and planning for the days to come.

Today we went over on the pre production plan, and we have also been looking into storyboards. We also created our blog today. We are now researching into storyboards, and putting examples on our Wix, and what is good about them, and or what we could improve on them. My aims for this script as my job as a director, is to make this story to life, and even better. I like making adjustments to things, so it is perfected, so I will try and add my own little details to better this

This day we worked on our Wix website independently, but we then worked as a group on breaking down the script, and highlighting important parts of the script, like characters, props and more.

On this day, we got into our groups and found out what scripts are going to be used. I was put in a group with Jax, Rueben, Ivaylo and Sonny, and we are using Jax's script. My script was chosen for another group. We also found out what job roles we have for the short film. I am the director, Jax is the Production designer, Rueben is the sound designer, Ivaylo is the director of photography, and lastly Sonny is my assistant director.
